The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during front seat cushion airbag assembly removal/installation are shown below.

NOTICE:
After the ignition switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
- There is risk of injury.
NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

9. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH
CAUTION:
- When storing the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.
- If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

(a) Detach the 2 wire harness clamps. |
|
(b) Detach the claw and disconnect the airbag connector.
(c) Remove the 2 nuts and front seat cushion airbag assembly RH.
CAUTION:
- Do not reuse the nut.
- If the installation surface or surrounding area of the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH is deformed or damaged, replace the front seat adjuster assembly RH with a new one.
