REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

HINT:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR LH

(a) Push the upper part of the outer mirror LH surface and tilt it.

Push in this Direction

Protective Tape

(b) Apply protective tape to the areas shown in the illustration.

(c) Push down the lower part of the outer mirror LH surface and tilt it.

Push in this Direction

Protective Tape

(d) Apply protective tape as shown in the illustration.

(e) Push the upper part of the outer mirror LH surface and tilt it.

Move in this Direction

Protective Tape

(f) Using moulding remover D, detach the claw.

(g) Push down the lower part of the outer mirror LH surface and tilt it.

Move in this Direction

Protective Tape

(h) Using moulding remover D, detach the claw and remove the outer mirror LH.

(i) w/ Mirror Heater:

(1) Disconnect the mirror heater connector.

NOTICE:

  • Do not raise the claw higher than is necessary as it will damage the claw of the terminal.
  • If the claw of the connector is damaged, replace the outer mirror LH with a new one.
  • If there is damage to the wire harness or an open circuit has occurred, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly LH with a new one.

(j) w/ Blind Spot Monitor System:

(1) Disconnect the blind spot monitor indicator connector.
