CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN
HINT:
After repair has been completed, clear the DTC and then check that the vehicle has returned to normal by performing the following All Readiness check procedure.
-
Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
-
Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
-
Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
-
Turn the power switch off and wait for 2 minutes or more.
-
Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
-
With power switch on (IG) and wait for 15 seconds or more.
-
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Utility / All Readiness.
-
Check the DTC judgment result.
HINT:
-
If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.
-
If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
-
If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE, perform driving pattern again.
PROCEDURE
1.
|
CHECK DATA (VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (HYBRID CONTROL))
|
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Utility / Vehicle Control History (RoB).
Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Utility
Tester Display
|
Vehicle Control History (RoB)
|
(d) Read and record the vehicle control history (Hybrid Control).

Auxiliary Battery Voltage Low (HV) or Auxiliary Battery Voltage Low (Inverter) is stored.
|
A
|
Auxiliary Battery Voltage Low (HV) and Auxiliary Battery Voltage Low (Inverter) are not stored.

CHECK DATA (FREEZE FRAME DATA (HYBRID CONTROL) AND VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (HYBRID CONTROL))
|
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Read the Freeze Frame Data of DTC P062F46.
HINT:
The value of the Freeze Frame Data item Auxiliary Battery Voltage immediately after the power switch is turned on (IG) may be 16.00 V (15.99 V), however this does not indicate a malfunction.
(1) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes
(2) According to the display on the Techstream, read the data of the Freeze Frame Data and make a note of the value of Total Distance Traveled.
(d) Read the data recorded in the Vehicle Control History item (Auxiliary Battery Voltage Low (HV) or Auxiliary Battery Voltage Low (Inverter)) which was stored when the auxiliary battery voltage dropped below the threshold.
(1) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Utility / Vehicle Control History (RoB).
Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Utility
Tester Display
|
Vehicle Control History (RoB)
|
(2) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Vehicle Control History data and make a note of the value of Total Distance Traveled.
(e) Compare the values in the Freeze Frame Data and the Vehicle Control History.

CHECK AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE
|
(a) Turn the power switch off and turn on the high beam headlights for 30 seconds. This will remove the surface charge from the auxiliary battery.
(b) Measure the auxiliary battery voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
Tester Connection
|
Condition
|
Specified Condition
|
Positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal - Negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal
|
20°C (68°F), Power switch off
|
12.0 V or higher
|
HINT:
This DTC may be stored when the power switch is turned off when the auxiliary battery voltage is low. In this case, when the auxiliary battery voltage is no longer low, after the power switch is turned on (IG) and then off several times, the vehicle will be judged as normal and the master warning will turn off.
