NOTICE:
After the ignition switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

PROCEDURE
1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
-
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

w/ Stop And Start System
When replacing the battery, use a new battery of the same dimensions with a capacity of 65 Ah or more at a 20-hour rate.

w/o Stop And Start System
When replacing the battery, use a new battery of the same dimensions with a capacity of 60 Ah or more at a 20-hour rate.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
(a) Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

3. REMOVE BATTERY
(a) Detach the 2 claws as shown in the illustration and remove the connector cover from the positive (+) battery terminal.

(b) Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.

(c) Remove the bolt and No. 2 battery clamp from the battery clamp sub-assembly.

(d) Remove the battery from the vehicle.
