NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

PROCEDURE
1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
-
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

When replacing the battery, use a new battery of the same dimensions with a capacity of 45 Ah or more at a 20-hour rate.
2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the deck board assembly.

3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD
(a) Detach the 2 clips and 2 guides and remove the luggage trim service hole cover.

4. REMOVE BATTERY HOLE COVER
(a) Detach the 12 claws and remove the battery hole cover.
5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
(a) Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

6. REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY
(a) Open the connector cover.

(b) Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal.
|
|
(c) Disconnect the battery hose from the auxiliary battery.
|
|
(d) Remove the bolt, nut and battery clamp sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
|
|
(e) Remove the battery insulator.
|
|
(f) Remove the auxiliary battery.
(g) w/ No. 1 Battery Spacer:
Remove the No. 1 battery spacer.
