DESCRIPTION

The parking brake ECU assembly receives vehicle tilt information from the deceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) via CAN communication.

Deceleration Sensor

One of the following conditions is met:

  1. An error signal is sent from the deceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) for approx. 0.3 seconds.
  2. Vehicle speed between 30 km/h (19 mph) or more until just before the vehicle stops (exceeds 0 km/h (0 mph) but less than 1 km/h (1 mph)) and the difference between the maximum and minimum value of the G sensor is less than 0.288 m/s2 and the malfunction repeats 16 times.
  3. The power switch is on (IG), the difference between the output values for G sensor 1 and 2 is 5.884 m/s2 or more for 60 seconds.
