INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

(1) for HV Model:

(2) for Automatic Transaxle:

  • UB80E:

  • UB80F:

(b) Remove the upper console panel sub-assembly.

(c) Inspect the ECO mode switch

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

7 (ECU) - 13 (GND)

ECO mode switch being pushed and held

Below 1 Ω

ECO mode switch not pushed

10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the integration control and panel assembly (combination switch).

(d) Install the upper console panel sub-assembly.

(e) Install the shift lever knob sub-assembly.
