Front Recognition Camera Dirt
|
History of forward recognition camera being unable to recognize the front and being temporarily unavailable
|
-
Check for the following
-
Front wiper blade other than genuine part may be attached
-
Front wiper rubber may be deteriorated
-
There may be stickers, accessories, baggage, etc. in visual field range of forward recognition camera
-
There may be snow, ice, fog, dirt, frost, dust or oil film sticking on windshield glass in front of camera
-
There may be damage or cracks on windshield glass in front of camera
-
Windshield glass other than genuine part may be installed
-
Confirm the vehicle was not driven in poor weather (the warning display will disappear when the conditions [darkness, backlight, snow, fog, etc.] around the forward recognition camera improve and the forward recognition camera can be used again)
Cause:
-
When foreign matter or dirt is attached to area around forward recognition camera

-
Using the Techstream, check the following items for the front recognition camera in the Data List.
-
Front Recognition Camera Low Temperature
-
Front Recognition Camera High Temperature 1
-
If the display value for the Data List check items are displayed as "High Temperature" or "Low Temperature", perform the procedures listed in the diagnostic notes.
Cause:
-
The forward recognition camera is in one of the following conditions
-
When the ambient temperature is approximately -30°C (-22°F) or less, such as when the vehicle is left alone in an extremely cold environment
-
When the ambient temperature is approximately 80°C (176°F) or higher, such as when the vehicle is left alone in an extremely hot environment

Front Recognition Camera Outside Guaranteed Operating Voltage
|
History of forward recognition camera being temporarily unavailable due to low voltage or high voltage
|
-
Check the power supply voltage (IGB) of the forward recognition camera. For terminals to check and standard values, click here.
-
If the power supply voltage was within the standard value, the forward recognition camera may be malfunctioning.
Cause:
-
The forward recognition camera is in one of the following conditions
-
for HV Model:
-
When the input voltage is approximately 9 V or less, immediately after starting the hybrid system
-
When the input voltage is approximately 16 V or higher, immediately after starting the hybrid system
-
for Gasoline Model:
-
When the input voltage is approximately 9 V or less, immediately after starting the engine
-
When the input voltage is approximately 16 V or higher, immediately after starting the engine
