Back Door Closer does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The back door lock with courtesy light switch assembly is controlled by the multiplex network door ECU. The multiplex network door ECU is activated according to the switch signals in the back door lock with courtesy light switch assembly.

NOTICE:

  • Inspect fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
  • If the replacement, removal and installation of the multiplex network door ECU or disconnection of the connectors of the multiplex network door ECU has been performed, initialize the power back door system.

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Registration.
  • This check is possible only when the power back door function customization setting using the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly is set to ON (initial setting is ON).

CHECK VEHICLE CONDITION

(a) Check that power back door function on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly is set to ON.

(a) Disconnect the R13 and R14 back door lock with courtesy light switch assembly connectors.

(b) Disconnect the R18 and R19 multiplex network door ECU connectors.

(c) Disconnect the 4H instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
