INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Place the front seat assembly LH in the vehicle as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:

2 or more people are required when carrying the front seat assembly LH into the vehicle.
Protect the front seat legs.
Do not damage the front seat assembly LH, body exterior or interior parts.

(b) Tilt the front seat assembly LH backward.

NOTICE:

Do not damage the front seat assembly LH or interior parts.

*a	Front Seat Airbag Assembly LH Connector

(1) Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.

*c	Yellow CPA	-	-

(2) Be sure to engage the connectors until they are locked (when locking, make sure that a click sound can be heard).

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the connector or wire harness of the front seat airbag assembly LH.
When connecting the connector, make sure to push it straight in.
Do not hold any parts other than the yellow CPA when connecting the connector.
If the upper portion of the yellow CPA is held when connecting the connector, the partial connection prevention mechanism will not function due to deformation of the yellow CPA. Therefore, hold the sides of the yellow CPA.

(d) Connect the other 2 connectors under the front seat assembly LH.

(e) Attach the clamp.

(f) Insert the location pin of the front seat assembly LH on the seat rail front side into the hole on the vehicle side.

(g) Temporarily install the front seat assembly LH with the 4 "TORX" screws.

(h) Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

(i) Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.

(j) Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 "TORX" screws in the order shown in the illustration.

Torque:

37 N·m {377 kgf·cm, 27 ft·lbf}

(k) Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the front seat assembly LH to the frontmost position.

(l) Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 "TORX" screws in the order shown in the illustration.

Torque:

37 N·m {377 kgf·cm, 27 ft·lbf}

2. INSTALL REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

(a) Attach the guide and claw to install the rear outer seat track bracket cover LH as shown in the illustration.

Install in this Direction

3. INSTALL REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

(a) Attach the guide and claw to install the rear inner seat track bracket cover LH as shown in the illustration.

Install in this Direction

4. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

(a) Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.

(b) Attach the claw and guide to install the front outer seat track bracket cover LH as shown in the illustration.

Install in this Direction

5. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the front outer seat track bracket cover LH.

6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the front seat headrest assembly to the front seat assembly LH.

7. INSTALL BATTERY HOLE COVER (for HV Model)

10. INITIALIZATION OF SEAT ECU (w/ Memory)

11. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
