When performing disassembly for the rear door, disconnect the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal after fully opening the rear door glass.
PROCEDURE
1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 "TORX" screws.

(b) Remove the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to remove the rear door lock with motor assembly LH.
21. REMOVE DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL
(a) When reusing rear door lock with motor assembly LH:
(1) Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the rear door lock with motor assembly LH.

22. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw and open the cover.

23. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw and open the cover.
