DESCRIPTION

The following DTCs are stored when there is a communication malfunction between the millimeter wave radar sensor and each sensor or ECU.

U012587	Lost Communication with Multi-axis Acceleration Sensor Module Missing Message	When the ignition switch is ON for 3 seconds or more, at a vehicle speed of 3 mph (5 km/h) or more, a communication malfunction with the yaw rate sensor (airbag ECU assembly) continues for approximately 1 second or more. U012687	Lost Communication with Steering Angle Sensor Module Missing Message	When the ignition switch is ON for 3 seconds or more, a steering sensor communication malfunction continues for approximately 1 second or more.	CAN communication system
U012987	Lost Communication with Brake System Control Module Missing Message	for HV Model: 3 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON, a communication error between the brake actuator assembly (No. 2 skid control ECU) and the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is detected for approximately 1 second or more. for Gasoline Model: 3 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON, a communication error between the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) and the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is detected for approximately 1 second or more. U015587	Lost Communication with Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Control Module Missing Message	When the ignition switch is ON for 3 seconds or more, a combination meter assembly communication malfunction continues for 8 seconds or more.	CAN communication system
U029387	Lost Communication with Hybrid Powertrain Control Module Missing Message	When the ignition switch is ON for 3 seconds or more, a communication malfunction with the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly continues for approximately 3 seconds or more.	CAN communication system

PROCEDURE

CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs.

Body Electrical > Pre-Collision System > Clear DTCs

2.	CHECK FOR DTCs

(a) Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

HINT:

If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

(b) Check for DTCs.
