Front Radar Sensor Optical Axis Not Adjusted
|
History of millimeter wave radar sensor assembly beam axis not being adjusted.
|
-
Using the Techstream, check "Optical Axis Not Adjusted Status" in the Data List for Front Radar Sensor.
-
If the value of "Optical Axis Not Adjusted Status" is Not Complete, perform beam axis alignment of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.
HINT:
Beam axis alignment of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly can be performed using either Triangle Target, Flat Surface Target or Driving Adjustment.

-
Turn the ignition switch off.
-
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
-
Check that "Pre-Collision System Radar In Self Calibration Unavailable See Owner's Manual" is not displayed on the multi-information display.
Cause:
-
A determination was made that millimeter wave radar sensor assembly vertical axis was misaligned.

|
Front Radar Sensor Dirt
|
History of system operation being temporarily suspended due to the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly not being able to detect objects.
|
-
Check whether the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly and surrounding area is dirty or obstructed by foreign matter
-
A non-genuine millimeter wave sensor cover is installed
-
There is dirt on the radar, the radar sensor cover or the surrounding area
-
An accessory, such as a bull bars, a grille guard, etc., which interferes with millimeter radio waves is installed
-
The sensor cover or its surrounding area has been painted or has a sticker attached
-
There is foreign matter between the radar and radar sensor cover
-
Clean away any dirt or foreign matter that is adhering to the area around the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.
-
Turn the ignition switch off.
-
for Gasoline Model:
Start the engine and drive the vehicle for 5 minutes or more.
-
for HV Model:
Start the hybrid system and drive the vehicle for 5 minutes or more.
-
Check whether "Pre-Collision System Radar Sensor Blocked Unavailable Clean Radar Sensor" is displayed on the multi-information display.
-
If the message is still displayed, perform beam axis alignment of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.
HINT:
Beam axis alignment of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly can be performed using either Triangle Target, Flat Surface Target or Driving Adjustment.

|
Front Radar Sensor Outside Guaranteed Operating Temperature
|
History of system operation being temporarily suspended due to the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly being excessively hot or cold.
|
-
Using the Techstream, check "Millimeter-wave Circuit Temperature Protection" in the Data List for Front Radar Sensor.
-
If the value of "Millimeter-wave Circuit Temperature Protection" is ON, warm or cool the area around the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.
Cause:
-
The following millimeter wave radar sensor assembly conditions are met:
-
After being subjected to an extremely cold environment, the area around the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is -30°C (-22°F) or less.
-
After being subjected to an extremely hot environment, the area around the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is 70°C (158°F) or more.

|
Front Radar Sensor Outside Guaranteed Operating Voltage
|
History of system operation being temporarily suspended due to the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly power source voltage being excessively high or low.
|
-
Using the Techstream, check "IG Voltage Protection" in the Data List for Front Radar Sensor.
-
If the value of "IG Voltage Protection" is ON, check if the voltage between terminals IGB and SGND of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is within the specified range.
Cause:
-
The following millimeter wave radar sensor assembly conditions are met:
-
for HV Model:
-
The input voltage decreases to approximately 8 V or less directly after the hybrid system starts.
-
The input voltage increases to approximately 16 V or more directly after the hybrid system starts.
-
for Gasoline Model:
-
The input voltage decreases to approximately 8 V or less directly after the engine is starts.
-
The input voltage increases to approximately 16 V or more directly after the engine is starts.
